Born and raised in San Francisco, Colleen Wong is enthusiastic to live amidst the flurry of diverse cultures and ecosystems the Pacific Coast has to offer.

She received her primary and junior high education at Lawton Alternative School and currently attends Lowell High School. In 2008, she volunteered as a Student Ambassador for the UCSF Medical Center at Mt. Zion and as a children's swim instructor at UCSF’s Fitness & Recreational Center. In the Fall of 2008, she co-founded an organization at Lowell dedicated to raising awareness of worldwide epidemics and to fundraising for Médecins Sans Frontière (Doctors Without Borders). She continues to contribute to her community by helping out at the Laboratory of Cell Growth.

Her interests in performing arts were fulfilled at the San Francisco Ballet School and the Preparatory Division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Colleen voices her opinions on political issues as a member of the National Forensic League. She served as her class representative to Lowell's School Site Council, where she helped develop school improvement programs and budgets. During her free time, she enjoys reading on topics related to cognitive behavior and philosophy. She also enjoys composing music, cooking, and venturing into Golden Gate Park.

Colleen aspires to pursue a career in the biological sciences. Presently, she is concerned with educating the public about cardiovascular disease prevention and self-care. Her primary interests are ultimately cardiovascular medicine and neuroscience.
