The Laboratory of Cell Growth

Our research focuses on the early stimulation of cell growth. Growth  is induced by altering cell signaling and gene expression. The stimulation can be caused by growth factors, cytokines (including lipids and biolipids) or mechanical stress.  Mastery of this knowledge could help those suffering from diverse diseases ranging from osteoporosis (lack of stimulation of the osteoblast growth ) to cancer (inappropriate upregulation of cell growth).
